I know life can be hard. Sometimes there are things we just can’t get over or through without support. I am here to be part of that support network.
My approach to counselling is wholly genuine, non-judgemental, and empathic. I have what is called a mixed method approach to counselling (which means I match the counselling approach to the person). My favourite methodologies are Narrative, Rogerian with some CBT and ACT. That simply means I think the stories we tell ourselves help shape our reality, and that with work and support we can change those stories. It means too that I believe in our individual and collective inner strength and wisdom.
I am a fully registered ACA counsellor, have completed a Masters of Counselling, and enjoy reading about psychology, counselling and neurology so you don’t have to.

I see life as a precious gift, however that gift can be shattered through life’s journey. That is when I can gently step in beside you and help you put that gift back together.
I will draw from an eclectic collection of counselling modalities as our walk unfolds, being guided by each different situation. My approach is client centered, solution focused, and strength based. I will also use creativity in our meetings – collage, poetry, art, rituals, story, journalling and connecting with nature. And, I am delving deeper into narrative therapy to add to my counselling approach.
Everyone is accepted and respected in a safe, non-judgmental healing space.
My background is working in Family Support and counselling women and girls for some years. I have completed a Diploma of Community Services (Community work) and a Bachelor of Social Science (Counselling).
I am passionate about circle and group work and witnessing people flourish, and go on to live the life they deserve to live.

Quiet Place acknowledges in Pine Rivers we are visitors on the unceded lands of the traditional owners which we understand to be the Turrball, Kabi, and Waka peoples. We recognise the harms to these peoples and the unearned privileges to us which are the outcomes of invasion and colonisation. We aim to work with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to reduce the harms of past and ongoing injustices. We pay our respects to Elders and peoples of this land, and of all traditional owner groups of Australia, past, present and future.
